Soundproof

Today noise is one of the most frequent and unpleasant sources of disturbance in daily life. Noise causes loss of sleep, reduces working capacity and detracts from our well being.

In many places therefore, noise must be reduced using effective screens. This is true for all buildings, but in particular for hospitals, public buildings, hotels and schools.

Why soundproof?

Soundproof doors are built to protect us from the noise coming from nearby rooms and from outdoor; their job is to reduce vibration and absorb the mechanical energy of noise, above all at frequencies between 50 (low-pitched sounds) and 5000 Hz. (high-pitched sounds).

In Germany, the original norm that governs soundproofing is DIN 4109. Actually the European Norm for soundproof doors is EN 20140.
